For me the devil is in the detail, always has been and always will be! Utopia listened exactly to my brief and sourced the right frames (I'd emphasised there was no rush but it was very important that the finished pieces were exactly right). Having selected the two stunning prints from Utopia's Arboretum Collection, they sourced two antique frames and then painted them in precisely the right colours and with exactly the right level of 'aged distressed finish' that we were looking for. They meld perfectly with the rustic walls in our converted barn. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the results.
Utopia is certainly The Unexpected Gallery filled with so many beautiful and unique pieces. The lamps are a particular favourite of mine but there are so many interesting pieces you are guaranteed not to leave empty handed. Jac and Michael always are a very creative and talented couple who always give everyone a warm welcome. I recommend a visit - you won't be disappointed!
This is a real treasure trove, everything beautifully made. Have just bought one of Jac's pen and ink pictures, the detail is amazing and it looks great in our lounge. Also just ordered a blind, they were really helpful with measuring to get it right, so now looking forward to a barn owl flying across my kitchen window
This is the most fascinating shop, and well worth a visit even if you don't normally go to art galleries, as it offers something original.They design and create unique lamps, limited edition shades and art works inspired by antiques and the natural world - very creative and clever.Utopia undertake private commissions too, so if you have something old and precious they would be able to bring it to life for you.
